Biatain®

Biatain® Silicone Ag

Biatain® Silicone Ag

Biatain® Silicone Ag is a soft silicone foam dressing with silver that promotes optimal healing conditions for infected wounds due to its ability to conform into the wound bed to deliver the silver ions right where it matters, absorb vertically and retain exudate.

The soft and flexible materials allow Biatain® Silicone Ag to follow body movements while staying in place, for high patient comfort.1

Product description

Provides optimal healing conditions for infected wounds

Biatain® Silicone Ag with 3DFit Technology provides optimal healing conditions by conforming into the wound bed, absorbing vertically and retaining exudate:

  • Conforms into the wound bed for optimized delivery of silver ions and minimized creation of dead space where exudate can pool and bacteria and microbes can grow
  • Absorbs vertically and retains exudate to reduce leakage and maceration of the surrounding skin, supporting healthy wound edges and periwound skin
  • Soft and flexible materials - to conform to the body and skin contours
  • Gentle silicone adhesion - for minimal pain upon removal

Usage

Biatain® Silicone Ag is a soft and conformable polyurethane foam dressing with silver, a semi-permeable, bacteria- and waterproof top film and a soft silicone adhesive layer.

Biatain® Silicone Ag is indicated for a wide range of low to high exuding chronic and acute wounds with delayed healing due to bacteria or wounds at risk of infection such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, postoperative wounds and traumatic wounds. It can be used in combination with compression therapy and may be left in place for up to 7 days.
