Biatain®

Biatain® Silicone Lite

Biatain® Silicone Lite

Biatain® Silicone Lite is a soft silicone foam dressing that provides optimal healing conditions for non to low exuding wounds due to its ability to conform into the wound bed, absorb vertically and retain exudate.

The soft and flexible materials allow Biatain® Silicone Lite to follow body movements while staying in place, for high patient comfort and increased mobility.

Product description

Provides optimal healing conditions

Biatain® Silicone Lite with 3DFit Technology provides optimal healing conditions by conforming into the wound bed, absorbing vertically and retaining exudate even under compression:

  • Conforms into the wound bed to reduce the creation of dead space and thereby reducing the risk of exudate pooling and infection
  • Absorbs vertically and retains exudate to reduce leakage and maceration of the surrounding skin, supporting healthy wound edges and periwound skin
  • Soft and flexible materials that conform to the body and skin contours, providing comfort for your patients¹
  • Gentle silicone adhesion - to stay in place during wear² with minimal pain upon removal³

Usage

Biatain® Silicone Lite is a soft and conformable polyurethane foam dressing with a semi-permeable, bacteria- and waterproof top film and a soft silicone adhesive layer.

Biatain® Silicone Lite is indicated for a wide range of non to low exuding chronic and acute wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, non-infected diabetic foot ulcers, donor sites, postoperative wounds and traumatic wounds (e.g. skin abrasions, skin tears, cuts). It can be used in combination with compression therapy and may be left in place for up to 7 days.
