Biatain® Adhesive 

Biatain® Adhesive is a soft polyurethane foam dressing with hydrocolloid adhesive that absorbs and retains wound exudate. This ensures a moist environment for healing of low to high exuding wounds. The hydrocolloid adhesive border ensures the dressing stays in place, ideal for when extra adhesion is needed.

Product description

For exudate management and a secure fit

  • Hydrocolloid adhesive border ensures adhesion to the skin
  • Microcapillaries within the foam absorb the exudate vertically
  • The exudate is locked away and retained, reducing risk of leakage and maceration of the wound edges and periwound skin

Usage

Biatain® Adhesive is indicated for a wide range of low to highly exuding wounds. This includes acute wounds such as second-degree burns, donor sites, post-operative wounds and traumatic wounds; and chronic wounds such as leg ulcers and pressure ulcers. Biatain® Adhesive is suitable for use in combination with compression therapy and may be left in place for up to 7 days.
