Purilon®

Purilon® Gel

Purilon® Gel

Purilon® Gel is a hydrogel with absorption and hydration properties and consists of natural ingredients. It is used for wounds that need effective debridement of necrotic tissue and slough, and may facilitate faster wound healing.*

Product description

A blend of absorbing and hydrating properties, easy to apply

  • The combination of absorbing and hydrating properties supports natural autolytic debridement and moist wound healing
  • The gel can be removed by rinsing with physiological saline solution or tap water
  • The viscous texture of the gel makes it stay in place** and, even after absorption of debris and exudate, the gel will remain non-soluble*** throughout its use**

Usage

Purilon® gel is indicated for necrotic and sloughy wounds such as leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, non-infected diabetic foot ulcers, and it may be used on 1st and 2nd degree burns. The gel may be used throughout the healing process to provide a moist healing environment. Purilon® gel should be used in conjunction with a secondary dressing. To optimize cleansing of necrotic and sloughy wounds, the product should be changed at least every 3rd day as these wounds produce more exudate.
